History
" A library for the Community" was one of the first
concerns of the "young Citizen's Group" who began
the library many years ago.
The library was moved from the basement of the Memorial Hall
to the newly renovated old Post Office building in November
of 1972.
Thirteen years later in summer of 1985, an additional 500
sq. ft. was added on, this area accommodates the Junior readers.
Year 2000 saw another 1405 sq. ft. addition. This included
a sun room and an area for the adult readers. The renovation
also included a public bathroom, a new office and lunchroom
for the staff.
